Tamara van Donge, MSc
PhD Candidate
Short biography
Tamara van Donge started her PhD at the Division of Pediatric Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics in 2018 after the completion of her MSc studies in Bio Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University in The Netherlands. During her MSc studies, she did internships at the Centre for Human Drug Research in Leiden and at the current division of the UKBB. During these internships, she gained knowledge in the use of non-linear mixed effects modeling of both biotherapeutics as small molecules.
Her PhD research is focused on the development of PBPK models that incorporate the maturation effects on drug metabolizing enzymes and can be used to predict drug exposure of relevant drugs in neonates and infants. Additional focus lies on the development of pharmacokinetic models to better understand and quantify maturation changes in the neonatal population. She also participates as external PhD student in the Graduate Research Training Program “PharMetrX: Pharmacometrics & Computational Disease Modelling” at the Freie Universität Berlin and University of Potsdam.
